Vintage CIGARETTE CASE Sterling & 14K Gold, Thin & Elegant c1920 (5I8)

Sleek and elegant vintage Art Deco 1920's Sterling and 14K Gold Cigarette Case. The striped linear alternating design is on both sides with closely spaced lines. Many of these are only designed on the top. This one is on both sides.

Multi colored gold of Yellow Gold and Rose Gold, which became very popular in the Retro period. Note dark areas in photos are reflections while being photographed. The case opens with a spring thumb grip and a fixed grip to the side. Inside the holder has a spring hinge and lifts easily with a finger. The marks are on the underside of the holder: Sterling and 14K.

Monogrammed on the top in block letters and engine turned diagonal lines and bracketed by a rectangle: McL. The Art Deco Cigarette Case measures approximately 4 1/2" x 3". Is very slim and of good weight.

The outside of the case is very shiny and picking up light and dark reflections while being photographed. The Gold and Sterling Silver Cigarette Case is in very good condition. There are expected normal minor surface scratches, a few small shallow dents visible when angled in certain light and some areas of tarnish.

The spring thumb piece is in great working order; the inside spring holder hinge is in great working order. Hinge of case in great condition and the case snaps closed tight. Many people use these today as a Business Card Case. Very handsome; the sleek profile is aesthetically pleasing and feels great in the hand. Shows well in the photos and lovelier in person.
