Vintage Art Deco Canadian Sterling Silver Cigarette Case Engine Turned. Century Art Deco Cigarette Case, c. 1920s-40s engine turned, sterling silver. 4 ½" long x 3 ¼" height x ¼ depth 126.6 grams.

Description & Notes : Art Deco sterling silver cigarette case, made in Canada, c. The front is engine turned with alternating combinations of horizontal bands around a vacant rectangular cartouche upper left; the backside is smooth. The interior surface has a circular brushed finish for added perceptual detail; the contents are held in place with spring loaded pierced arrow bar. Markings : impressed both sides of cigarette clip, "GEM REG'D"; "MADE IN CANADA"; "STERLING SILVER".

Condition : Very Good Vintage Condition. With very little age and use wear, only what is expected on such an item. For accuracy only there is a slight compression to the back right corner; this does not affect the function or aesthetics. The patina is soft and rich, there are no monograms or personalization and the clasp is in perfect working order with a strong clip and smooth release.
